The Hills Honey Story
Hi! I'm Pete. The Master Beekeeper behind Hills Honey. I started beekeeping in 2016 with one hive and a box of bees.
Hills Honey was started as a way to share my interest and passion in beekeeping with you, as well as our honey.
Fast Forward Hundreds of Bottles of Honey Later
I completed the Master Beekeeper certification course through Cornell University and am now a certified Master Beekeeper, with a lot more experience and knowledge than the guy that bought a few beekeeper supplies and some bees way back in 2016.
Hills Honey Today
Today I have over 20 hives in 5 different apiary locations in and around Westmoreland, NH in southwest New Hampshire. I harvest the honey by hand at different points throughout the spring, summer and fall.
Honey from Our Bees
The amount of honey I harvest per year differs based on many, many variables. I process and bottle the honey myself with a small batch extractor, a double sieve strainer and bottler.
Direct from Your Local Beekeeper
I pride myself on the care and quality that goes into our honey. All of Hills Honey is raw - not heated above 100 degrees - and minimally processed. This preserves all the natural benefits of the honey. The honey is strained before bottling, but is not filtered, pasteurized or otherwise commercialized. Hills Honey is straight from your local beekeeper!
